The annual BC Shellfish and Seafood Festival is the largest festival of its kind in British Columbia.  Originally started as a dinner and one day event organized by the BC Shellfish Growers Association, the newly expanded festival now includes 10 days of culinary events, shellfish and seafood producer tours, celebrity chef demonstrations, winery dinners, coupled with aquaculture industry workshops, networking events and tradeshow.

BC Seafood Expo and Workshop Series

New for 2015 is the BC Seafood Expo and Workshop Series, June 13-14, which includes sessions with more than thirty leaders in the fields of aquaculture research and development, export and trade, and government as well as innovation and knowledge institutions.

Taking a page from the North American Seafood Expo, the BC Seafood Expo will provide an opportunity for the industry to increase expertise while doing business with buyers, industry innovators and leaders, suppliers, and international representatives from throughout North America and Europe.

The workshop series, developed by Comox Valley Economic Development in collaboration with the seafood industry, is in recognition of the importance of the seafood sector to the economy of the Pacific Northwest coastal communities.
