New Brunswick-based True North Salmon recently announced additions to its product line. Touted as the “Evolution of Salmon,” the products were submitted to the New Product Showcase at the Seafood Expo North America.
The new products include Premium Cold Smoked Atlantic Salmon (available in pastrami, Gravlachs, peppered and scotch flavours), Premium Hot Smoked Atlantic Salmon (available in maple and peppered flavours) and Premium Candied Atlantic Salmon.
“Our product development team is always looking for new ideas, new tastes, new textures and new ways for customers to enjoy our fresh and nutritious salmon,” said Andrew Lively, Director of Marketing for True North Salmon. “These products have been in development for a few years. We look at consumer trends, we know consumers are looking for healthy easy to prepare meal options, our new product development always keeps the consumer top of mind.”
True North Salmon say that infusing new flavours into salmon will allow more individual creativity within meals. The products were also developed with the modern, health-conscious consumer in mind and are free of preservatives and gluten which allows their facilities to be allergen free.
