Hayward Flow Control recently announced the launch of its new A-Series LifeStar pump line.
According to a press release from Hayward, the LifeStar pump is designed for operation in aquatic and animal life support systems as well as aquaculture installations. Its construction, notes Hayward, makes it safe for use in most sensitive aquatic habitats including filtration, heat exchange, protein fractionation, ozone systems, saltwater mixing, fluid transfer and water recirculation.
The LifeStar pumps are available from ½ HP to 5 HP with Single Phase ODP motors and from ½ HP to 3 HP with Three Phase TEFC motors. The pumps feature a corrosion-resistant glass filled polypropylene housing, a silicon carbide shaft seal, and all wetted hardware is manufactured from 316 stainless steel.
The pump is self-priming and an integral, no-rib basket traps debris and prevents solids from damaging the pump, impeller or downstream components.
