Skretting feed plant awarded Global G.A.P certification

Skretting’s fish feed plant in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada has recently been awarded Global G.A.P Control Points and Compliance Criteria Compound Feed Manufacturer (CFM) certification.

Global G.A.P. certification is recognition of the company focus and commitment to quality and sustainability and forms part of their Sustainable Economic Aquafeeds (SEA) program and Nutrace quality system.

Payam Faridmadjd, Quality Assurance Manager for Skretting North America, stated in a press release “The Global G.A.P. criteria cover a huge range of topics including quality assurance in production and the purchase and supply of raw materials. Within production it covers all steps from ingredient handling right through to feed processing and distribution. Achieving Global G.A.P. certification is a great endorsement of our outstanding quality system”.

Gavin Shaw, Marketing Manager for Skretting North America added, “The Global G.A.P. Aquaculture standard requires that a certified aquaculture facility purchase their feed from a Global G.A.P certified feed manufacturer. We are committed to the production of sustainable aquafeeds and our Global G.A.P. certification enables our Vancouver customers to be Global G.A.P. certified if they choose.”
