The animal nutrition firm Phibro Animal Health Corporation recently announced the establishment of a new aquaculture unit following its acquisition of AquaVet Ltd., a technical consulting and contract research organization with a focus on the international aquaculture market.

Dr. Ra’anan Ariav, D.V.M. and founder and CEO of AquaVet, will join Phibro as Vice President, Phibro Aquaculture, tasked with leading the build-out of the newly established business unit.

Phibro Aquaculture’s initial focus will be on Phibro’s medicated feed additive and nutritional specialty products, some of which are already approved for aquatic species.
