The Fish Vet Group (FVG) recently announced the appointment of a new Aquatic Veterinarian, David Marancik, to their US operation. Dr. Marancik will provide clinical and veterinary services and be responsible for managing the company’s diagnostic laboratories.
He has a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University and a five-year Combined Residency and PhD in Aquatic Pathology from the University of Georgia. Before joining FVG, David worked at the National Center for Cool and Cold Water Aquaculture, where he specialized in research on fish immunology and biomarkers of disease.
Explaining what attracted him to FVG, Marancik commented “The aquaculture industry is very dynamic and rapidly expanding. FVG has developed an infrastructure that’s all encompassing in aquatic health and it is perfectly positioned to evolve with the industry.”
As stated in the press release, FVG has grown to become the world’s largest dedicated aquaculture health provider with five centers providing “Total Aquaculture Health” on three continents.
